How does your garden grow?

How does your Garden Grow? After a long day of getting the garden ready and planted. Riley needed some attention. We collected flat rocks from around our yard and painted them to mark were the plants were. I was so impressed with her painting skills. Check out the watermelon, she painted...all by herself! May 9, 2009 May 10, 2009 June 21, 2009 July 9, 2009 My poor beets didn't make it to long. As soon as they peeked out of the dirt the DAMN birds ate them. We planted artichokes last year with no success. I read that if you leave them in the ground over the winter. Some should grow the next summer. Amazingly We grew Artichokes! So far we have picked one big artichoke and there are a few more growing. I am going to leave a couple to flower because I've heard they are very pretty. We have zucchini coming out our ears and in the next week we will have tomatoes coming out to. The pumpkin leaves are GI - normous! sugar peas The man and the dog responsible for our garden.

McDonald's...it's coming!

I know these aren't the best picture's, but I would feel kind-of retarded standing on the side of the road taking a picture....really it's Just McDonald's. Most Tuesday's after school we've been going to the McDonald's just off 2-15 by the Smith's. Sad to say I think the kid's are getting bored. They'd rather sit by us and talk mom talk...BORING! So we decided to go the the one on 3900 S and 1100 E. by St Marks. It worked they left us alone. Plus the workers are a lot nicer. So I figure we have about 1 month before they get bored again. Hopefully the new McDonald's will be done. Or the weather will be nice enough so we can go to a park.

SNOW

I love it when it snow's... As long as I don't need to be anywhere and can stay inside were it's warm. Not to mention that we have a wonderful neighbor with a plow on his 4-wheeler that Love's the chance to use it. Riley got to try out her new gator...I was glad to get it out of the house. Once it's out it out! The poor dog's just couldn't find that ball we we kept throwing, it seemed to blend in with the Snow. Riley still needs to learn that if you throw a snowball at someone, most likely they will throw one back.

Ho Ho Ho!

Christmas was pretty quiet this year. Darrin's dad drove up from Pioche to spend Christmas with us. On Christmas Eve we went to a restaurant that his neighbor's son-in-law and daughter had recently opened... The Wild Grape. It was so good. Not to mention that I didn't have to cook or clean up. Score! When we got home Riley put out Egg Nog and cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. She then headed off to bed. Christmas Morning Riley got a John Deere Gator. A "Fur Real" Kitten. (she wished it was a real one.) And of course a Scooby-Doo game. A beautiful Fairy dress Love the goggles Oh, and a wonderful harmonica...thanks Darrin! Later that day we went to my parent's for some yummy soup and more presents. Riley got some Barbie's and make-up. You've gotta love those Grandparents That night we relaxed and played domino's

Riley Joe Cole December 8, 2003 3 lbs. 3 oz. - 16 1/2" Riley had a rough start coming into this world. She was born 8 weeks early. Luckily she didn't have any major problem. Just the typical learning how to eat, reflux and growing. She finally came home after 6 weeks in the NICU weighing a whopping 5lbs. 3 oz.. Now 5 years later we look back and think of how tiny she was. And feel so blessed that she is healthy. They grow way to fast. She is stubborn like her mother, and a sweetheart like her dad (most of time) I Remember my parents would always wish that you would have a kid that act's just like me...I think that came true...Sorry Mom! Think of it this way, she will have a hard time getting away with things. This is one of my favorite songs that pretty much sum it all up. http://www.hit-country-music-lyrics.com/Billy-Dean-little.html Let them be Little I can remember when you fit in the palm of my hand. You felt so good in it; no bigger than a minute. How it amazes m...
